Here we are again, a little over a week past our debut as it were, and that means it's time for another Shadowbox. This week is an artist that many will recognize even if his name isn't on the tip of your tongue. I speak of the one and only, Kvernikovskiy.

A man who constantly strives to improve his own works, he often emulates and studies the works of other well-known artists within the community. Many of these influences can be seen throughout his works as he advances and changes his own style. In the end though, it is his hand that creates these raw yet sublime pieces.

Introducing: Music from the Gates of Tartarus!

Hello you frightful little foals!  I am Supersaw Hoover, your curator of aural curiosities, your guide to the musically gruesome, and your harbinger of the hardest sounds in all of Equestria and beyond.

In other words, I'm going to be posting intense and/or scary music here.  Oh yes.

I've been making primarily dark and hard electronic music in the pony fandom since June 2011 and was the first to be known to make harsh noise with a pony theme, as well as one of the first hardcore/speedcore artists active in the fandom who is still currently active.  You can check out my music on Soundcloud.

Now, enough narcissism!  Let's get on with the minor chords and grisly timbres!

Ventious' art may not hold as bloodthirsty a feel as some of you may appreciate, but their distinct art style and heavy use of shadows and other elements often paint their pieces with emotions such as depression, loneliness, and despair.

Hello, and welcome to The Tartarus Project!

Just as Tartarus, in legend, is the place where the bad things dwell, The Tartarus Project is dedicated to the support, encouragement, and preservation of the dark aspects of the MLP:FiM fandom, such as art, music, fiction, and games. Grimdark, gore, hardstyle, speedcore, noise, metal; all the fun stuff.

We will post related news and content daily (at least), and more often as our time and availability of new material allows.

To come:

• Archives will be added. 
• Contests for the various arts will be hosted.
• As soon as there is enough interest, we will host actual events like concerts and mini-conventions (or larger). Pegasi corporation (the NPO behind Everfree Northwest) has expressed interest in sponsoring such events, so let's make it happen!
